IT services put to test

Heraeus, the international technology group, is pursuing a strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of its operating businesses through functional and digital excellence. Metrics recently put the group's applications and IT infrastructure to the test and compared them with the market. On the one hand, software clusters such as ERP, HR and Manufacturing Execution Systems were analysed. On the other hand, detailed assessments were carried out in areas such as cloud, IT processes and IT security. From the results, Heraeus was able to identify opportunities for optimisation and derive measures to prepare for the future. "The benchmarks emphasised that we are technically future-proof and our stakeholders can expect a cost-effective IT ecosystem consisting of software and infrastructure," summarises Jana Purper, IT manager at Heraeus.
